Want to study a subject that is not offered at your university this semester?
Curtin Sydney is still accepting applications for cross-institutional study from students currently enrolled at other Australian institutions.

With Cross Institutional Enrolment, you can enrol in units at Curtin Sydney and have the study credited toward your degree.

What you need

  • Your educational qualifications must meet Curtin entry requirements;
  • You must be currently enrolled at another institution;
  • You must have completed at least one full year of study (for undergraduates) or at least one semester of study (for postgraduates).

How to apply

1. Obtain a letter of approval

Once you've checked the availability of the units you wish to study at Curtin, you'll need to obtain a letter of approval from the Academic Registrar at your institution, stating the units you wish to study at Curtin.

2. Lodge an Application for Admission

This is available for download below or from Curtin Sydney reception. You'll need to complete it and return it to our Admissions staff by July 17, 2009.

You will also need to provide:

  1. An original or certified copy of your academic record;
  2. Proof of current enrolment at your current institution;
  3. The letter of approval from your Academic Registrar.

3. Pay your fees or complete a FEE-HELP form

All fees must be paid by the deadlines prior to enrolment. If you are a FEE-HELP student you will need to complete a FEE-HELP form with Curtin where a debt will be incurred for the subjects/units undertaken.

FEE-HELP

Students undertaking cross institutional studies are eligible to apply for FEE-HELP. You need to complete a FEE-HELP application form at both your current institution and Curtin prior to July 17, 2009. You should do this at enrolment.

Please note that FEE-HELP is not available for local undergraduate students.

4. Check your enrolment thoroughly

You will receive enrolment advice from us confirming your enrolment. Please check it thoroughly and advise us of any discrepancies. You'll need to submit a copy of your enrolment advice to your institution.

    Read this document carefully!
  • If you withdraw from any subjects/units of study at Curtin you must also withdraw from these units at your home institution.
  • A transcript can be printed from your Blackboard account at the end of the semester.
  • Please ensure you certify the document and present this to your home institution.
  • You will be enrolled in a course of study titled 'Not for Degree' with a course code of 300653 for undergraduate students and 300654 for postgraduates.
